Xaar’s management sleeps rough for children’s charity

The management of Cambridge, UK-based Xaar will sleep rough for one night in London in support of Byte Night 2008 – the IT industry’s annual fundraiser for the Action for Children charity.
Andrew Taylor, Greg Lockett, Ian Dinwoodie, Mark Alexander, Phil Eaves, Ramon Borrell and Tim Bick are readying themselves to brace the elements on October 3.
To support the Xaar management team’s noble effort, visit www.justgiving.com/xaar where sponsorship is easily given by credit or debit card. Justgiving sends your donation straight to Action for Children and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.
The event began ten years ago when 30 individuals from the IT industry slept out and raised 35,000. Since then the event has grown to extraordinary heights, attracting 270 sleepers and raising almost 400,000 in 2007 alone.
Founded in 1869, Action for Children is one of the UK's largest children's charities supporting over 178,000 children, young people and their families. Previously known as NCH, Action for Children changed its name in September 2008.
Where ever you are in the UK, you can join hundreds of other IT professionals as they face a night under stars to raise awareness of youth homelessness and vital funds to support young people who are currently homeless or facing life after care.
