York Label invests in HP Indigo ws4000
US-based York Label, a supplier of pressure sensitive labels to several multi-nationals, has installed the HP Indigo ws4000 press to convert quality on-demand labels. York will utilize the press for short run orders, orders with multiple SKUs, prototypes, product roll-outs, promotionals and labels requiring variable data.
‘The HP Indigo ws4000 press is an excellent complement to our existing press platforms,’ says Steve Riccardi, vice president of Technical Services, York Label. ‘It will allow us to produce short run orders in a more efficient manner than printing them on our high-volume presses. We can combine process printing with HP’s IndiChrome system to match spot colors and create high-end graphics that meet the requirements of our consumer products customers. Additionally, the digital technology eliminates the need for plates and other time consuming prepress requirements.’
‘York is excited about our new HP Indigo digital press,’ states Larry Begelfer, Director of Marketing, YORK Label. ‘We see this new press being utilized to meet the needs of existing customers as well as providing new capabilities that allow our sales force to pursue new markets and opportunities.’
