Zeller Gmelin sets up new production, R&D center
Zeller Gmelin has moved into a new, purpose-built plant which combines ink sales, product management, service centre and R&D. The building has a floor area of more than 1,600 m”, spread over two floors.
'The intention for the construction of this new building was to shorten distances, to improve communication and consequently to be able to hand information received by sales and service centre directly into the r d lab,' comments the company.
The heart of the building are the new training and seminar rooms along with a video conferencing facility to communicate with Z G's subsidiary companies in the USA and England - and possibly in the future directly with customers.
An interesting contribution to energy saving is under-floor heating, which takes energy from the cooling circuit of the ink production plant and recycles it to provide heating and hot water to the office buildings. At the same time this creates a lower cooling water temperature level in production.
