Collaboration for direct laser ablation

ZED Instruments (UK), Fulflex Flexographic Systems (USA) and Ligum spol. s.r.o (Czech Republic) have signed a three-way collaborative agreement for the development of direct digital laser ablation for flexo.

The collaboration has the aim of jointly promoting the laser ablation of seamless, in-the-round elastomeric sleeves for flexo printing. ZED Instruments and Ligum already have a number of mutual customers in Europe.

Director Jim Heller of The Moore Company, which owns ZED Instruments and Fulflex, commented: ‘Both companies are extremely pleased to be working with Ligum.

‘We believe that the collaboration will have considerable benefits for our mutual customers, current and future, and in our efforts to promote direct laser ablation as a mainstream method for the production of high quality in-the-round flexo printing.’
