Evonik Goldschmidt to increase prices for organics and silicones

Effective April 1, 2008, Evonik Goldschmidt Corporation’s industrial specialties and household care business lines will increase off list prices for products marketed in North America. 

Silicones and organic products including quaternary compounds, surfactants, amine derivatives and specialty additives will increase between $0.05/lb. and $0.15/lb. 

Select products will be subject to higher increases. Rising raw materials, energy, and transportation costs are cited as the major reasons for the increase.
