Mark Andy adds AVT for quality control

Mark Andy is to integrate AVT’s Jet-IQ with its Digital Series hybrid inkjet label presses to provide print quality and control.

AVT’s Jet-IQ will provide enhanced inspection and quality control while supporting overall print process automation, ultimately streamlining and safeguarding the challenging, discerning task of label printing

Jet-IQ is a closed-loop option for digital inkjet presses that works in synergy with press controllers to maintain heightened print quality, it is claimed, offering an ‘unsurpassed combination of production speed and assurance’.  In addition to providing print quality even at high run speeds, Jet-IQ offers quick set-up and full reporting functionalities. A nozzle performance and color control feature increases press productivity, and the system also verifies geometric parameters, such as color-to-color registration, image placement and printing defects detection. Further, Jet-IQ monitors the integrity of both permanent and variable content, classifying possible print defects and automatically initiating corrective measures.

For Mark Andy’s Digital Series, AVT’s Jet-IQ will provide enhanced inspection and quality control while supporting overall print process automation, ultimately streamlining and safeguarding the challenging, discerning task of label printing.

Tom Schelmbauer, vice president of engineering at Mark Andy, explained: ‘AVT is a proven supplier of comprehensive inspection and press control solutions, and we look forward to extending their expertise into our digital hybrid solutions.
