Four industry leaders partner for Labelexpo Europe 2025

Martin Automatic, ETI Converting, LemuGroup and Lundberg Tech have partnered to showcase a live production line at the upcoming Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona.

The four exhibitors will occupy booths D27, D29, D35 and D37 to showcase non-stop web automation, coating and laminating, label converting and automated label matrix waste handling working together as one integrated entity.

‘Our strategy has always been to lead with original designs and provocative, but well-managed goals, to deliver results that surpass expectations or even the imagination of the industry,’ said Gavin Rittmeyer, vice president of sales and marketing for Martin Automatic. ‘Together, Martin, ETI, LemuGroup and Lundberg Tech are demonstrating, in real time and in the most difficult of circumstances, what no one else has dared, or dreamed of doing – creating labelestock and converting it live, at a European trade show.’

In this new project for Labelexpo Europe 2025, each partner company contributes its own area of expertise. From Martin Automatic’s unwinders to ETI’s coating, lamination and die-cutting, Lundberg Tech’s automated matrix handling and finally the GTU Glue turret rewinder and LemuGroup’s UltraCompact, where the roll is converted, packed and palletized automatically.

Vetaphone appoints Keyway in India

The newly established Keyway in Gurgaon, close to New Delhi, is headed by Bhupesh Tilwani and has already forged a strong reputation in India's print and packaging markets with its professional approach and strong global partnerships.

EcoVadis CSR rating agency has awarded coding and marking systems specialist Leibinger a bronze medal. The company also completed the Sedex Group’s SMETA audit standard for the second time.

The EcoVadis bronze medal attests that Leibinger is among the top 35 percent of companies across all industries rated over the last twelve months.

Leibinger achieved the best results in the categories of environment, ethics, and labour and human rights. EcoVadis has evaluated over 130,000 companies around the globe based on four categories and 21 sustainability criteria based on international standards. It is governed by a panel of experts from the fields of industry and science.

As part of its sustainability efforts, Leibinger once again underwent verification in line with the SMETA audit standard of the non-profit Sedex Group in 2024. SMETA is the world’s leading audit and documents social responsibility in labour standards, health and safety, the environment and business ethics.

MicroDynamics, manufacturer of surface profile inspection systems, and BW Converting, a provider of printing, packaging and converting machinery, have integrated anilox inspection technology within the all-new PCMC Meridian Elite+ laser roll cleaner.

The non-exclusive partnership features a MicroDynamics’ Veritas inspection microscope and MicroScan3 analysis software integrated directly into BW Converting’s Meridian Elite+ laser roll cleaner. The new system debuted at FTA Forum InfoFlex 2025, showcasing automation, intelligence and efficiency in anilox cleaning and inspection.

The Meridian Elite+ laser roll cleaner is engineered for converters seeking to improve print repeatability, reduce defects and extend roll longevity. By automating roll cleaning and inspection, the system reduces manual intervention, freeing up operators to focus on other critical tasks while capturing consistent, accurate inventory data for optimization.

BW Converting selected MicroDynamics as a technology partner based on their shared commitment to accuracy, innovation and standardization.

His career began in flexographic printing, where he advanced from machine operator to leadership roles, refining his skills in troubleshooting, technical sales and business development. As a sales specialist at tesa tape, Conner managed accounts across seven states, providing hands-on support and driving revenue growth. His leadership roles at Anderson & Vreeland, Flint Group Narrow Web and Pitman Company further strengthened his ability to optimize sales strategies, streamline operations and solve problems — particularly in the realm of photopolymer technology, where he has helped clients enhance efficiency and achieve their production goals.

Previously a Rolls-Royce research fellow, he led pioneering work on environmental barrier coatings and wear-resistant products for jet engines under the 10.5 million GBP Reinstate project.

He is an active contributor to standards bodies, including the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the British Standards Institution (BSI). He has been recognized by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) with a global talent endorsement in the field of Materials Science and Engineering.

Through advanced metallurgical analysis and precise control of porosity, hardness, and corrosion resistance, Sandon Global has earned a reputation for developing coatings that are robust, consistent, and reliable in press environments. Dr Lokachari’s appointment will keep Sandon Global at the forefront of coating innovation as the company continues to explore and discover new ways to raise and set the standard in anilox science.
