Fresh leadership for Emerging Leadership Council

The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) is proud to announce the election of Kasie Fairbarn, product sales manager for extrusion systems at Windmoeller and Hoelscher Corporation, as the co-chair of FPA's Emerging Leadership Council (ELC). In this new role, Kasie takes over from Adrianne Tipton, former senior vice president of innovation at Novolex.

'Being co-chair with Kasie is an exciting prospect and I'm confident she'll bring about considerable influence on the ELC and, by extension, the Flexible Packaging Association,' comments Jonathan Quinn, director of market development and sustainability at Pregis. 'Kasie Fairbarn is synonymous with inspiring leadership. Her guidance will be crucial not just for the ELC, but also for the industry at large.'

For Fairbarn, the nomination and selection process was an honor. 'Being chosen by my colleagues and the nominating committee to co-chair the Emerging Leadership Council is a privilege. The ELC has turned into a key platform for future leaders in flexible packaging to come together and address significant challenges our industry is facing. I'm excited to offer my support to this group and keep up the excellent momentum Adrianne and Jonathan have initiated.'

The ELC comprises rising professionals and aims to create a network of future leaders focused on influencing issues and opportunities that can substantially impact the development of the U.S. flexible packaging industry. The ELC further diversifies its operations into four subcommittees: advocacy; education; recruitment and leadership development; and diversity, equity and inclusion.
