Toppan makes CDP’s 2023 Climate Change A List

The Japanese global printing company was among 346 companies that scored an A for their leadership in environmental transparency and performance on climate change, deforestation and water security.

Japanese global printing company Toppan has made CDP’s 2023 Climate Change A List.

The list names 346 companies in total that scored an A for their leadership in environmental transparency and performance on climate change, deforestation and water security.

In April 2023, Toppan expanded its Toppan Group Environmental Vision 2050, establishing its long-term approach to global environmental issues. In January 2023, Toppan developed an eco-friendly near-field communication (NFC) tag label using paper material as the substrate for the antenna instead of conventional polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film.

Earlier this year, Toppan also announced support for the final recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and its participation in the global TNFD forum as it continues to implement various initiatives to accelerate its efforts toward a sustainable society.

CDP, a not-for-profit charity founded in 2000, manages the global disclosure system for companies, investors, cities, states and regions to gauge their environmental footprint.
