Meyers launches new Function47 division

New division specializes in printing with conductive inks, including silver, copper, and carbon inks for life sciences, automotive and aerospace industries

The Meyers Printing Company, a manufacturer of packaging, labels and retail displays, has launched a new division to serve the life sciences, automotive, and aerospace industries. Function47 specializes in printing with conductive inks, including silver, copper, and carbon inks.

Meyers entered this market in 2019 and saw yearly increases at a level that will result in the new division becoming the company’s biggest product line by the end of 2023.

Meyers’ specialty lies within highly technical and low tolerance at high volumes. These electronic components are typically made with flat-bed screen printing using Meyers’ proprietary process for producing the roll-to-roll method that allows for much higher volume and much lower cost without sacrificing quality.

Matt Evers, senior vice president, business development and quality, Meyers, said: ‘Our chemical and mechanical engineers and conductive ink specialists have worked hard to develop industry-leading proprietary processes. This work results from immense research and development efforts and partnership with the industry’s leading suppliers and end users.’

Chris Dillon, chief executive officer, Meyers, said: ‘Meyers is proud to continue growing this department as an example of the innovation still being uncovered within the printed electronics industry.’

Michael Dillon, chief revenue officer, Meyers said that the company has assembled a team of leading industry experts to build one of the most compelling offerings within the printed electronics industry. ‘And we look forward to continuing our significant growth within conductive ink printing.’
