Label Day China gathers 200 industry professionals

Labels & Labeling China has organized Label Day in Qingdao, Shandong Province, on September 24, 2021, which attracted more than 200 representatives from industry associations, printing colleges, label converters, media and suppliers.

The one-day event featured 13 presentations and 17 suppliers presenting their latest portfolios. The opening presentation, focused on innovation and led by WLPC, provided updates on the latest changes in consumption trends followed by the latest products showcase by HP indigo, Antac, BST China, and Runtianzhi. Alibaba International’s experts also shared package export dates to help label converters to explore overseas markets.

The afternoon session, themed around the digital future, highlighted the lean management led by Baizan consulting, working with more than one hundred packaging and printing enterprises. 

Kevin Liu, China project director at Labelexpo Global Series, presented a global market review followed by the announcement of the Chinese winners of WLA 2019. Other presenters included representatives of Epson China, Hybrid, Hanglobal, Hongsheng, pre-press expert Niuge, and the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication.

In the evening, Linbo of Pulisi hosted a panel discussion with representatives from Tungkong, Weifang Xinxing, Qingdao Runben, and WLPC, discussing how label converters meet the challenges of increasing cost and digital transformation.

The event was the second Label Day in China following the first meeting in Xiamen, Fujian Province. The next event is planned for October 19, 2021, in Chongqing.
