Labelco has joined Optimum Group’s Nordics platform

The addition of Labelco fits well within the European growth ambitions of Optimum Group and will significantly expand the Optimum Group’s presence in Denmark. With the acquisition of 100 percent of the shares, the group becomes a competitive player with large international customers who focus on food safety as Labelco is, according to Opritmum Group, the only label printing house in Denmark with the British BRSCGS food safety certification.

For Optimum Group, the addition of Labelco expands its footprint in Denmark and strengthens its position as a leading player in Northwestern Europe in the labels and flexible packaging markets. Together with Labelco, the group now consists of 18 member companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark, with each company having its product and market combination.

‘We are very proud to welcome Labelco to the Optimum Group, and we look forward to working with the team of employees in Hinnerup. Labelco has occupied a unique position in the Danish label market for many years and plays a leading role in the field of self-adhesive labels. Its strong profile within BRCGS-approved food labels is interesting and will expand Optimum Group Nordics' strengths within food labeling,’ commented Optimum Group Nordics' CEO Lars Ole Nauta.

‘We are very pleased to be able to become part of Optimum Group Nordics, which is a strong and competitive player in the European market. We are a good professional match, and I am sure it is the right choice for Labelco. I look forward to getting started working together,’ added Ole Dam Mikkelsen, general manager and now former co-owner of Lebelco.

‘After the recent acquisition of Optikett, we are very pleased with this further growth opportunity in Denmark and are happy to welcome Labelco§ to the group,’ concluded Marc van Rijswijk, CFO of Optimum Group.
