ASPA elects new governing body

Authentication Solution Providers' Association (ASPA) has elected a new board of members, with Umendra Kumar Gupta, chief managing director of Holostik India, named as the association’s president for a second time.

Joining Gupta are: Arun Agarwal, CEO of Kantas Track Pack India, as vice president; Luv D Shriram, director at Shriram Veritech Solutions, as general secretary and treasurer; Nakul Pasricha, president and CEO of Pharma Secure PAS India and Deepak Gupta, director at Shree Lamipack, as general body members; and Shobhit Arora, managing director of Giriraj Foils, and Gaurav Sathaye, director of United Speciality Inks, as co-opted members.

‘The association has ongoing campaigns like Make Sure India and Brand Protection Awareness across India’ explained Gupta. ‘This is a part of its effort to promote the importance of authentication solutions against counterfeiting and we are committed to take it to next level.

‘Our government seems to be proactive on taking a holistic approach to consumer protection and public welfare. ASPA as an industry body is aligned to support them in protecting brands and safeguarding consumer interest and our member companies are fully geared up to help industries meet this challenge.’

Aggarwal added: ‘I’m thrilled and honored to be elected as vice president of this distinguished association. I look forward to working with the board and members to deliver on our core objectives of support, education and advocacy in the development of standards and the promotion of authentication solutions.’
