Rob Schellekens has been appointed sales director at DG press, effective April 1.

He has taken over commercial responsibilities from director, Remko Koolbergen, who will focus more on technical matters and general policy.

Schellekens was previously employed by Drent Goebel from 1994 as purchase manager and from 2000 to 2009 as commercial director. In that period, hybrid sleeve offset packaging printing was launched worldwide with great success. In 2009, he introduced the sleeve offset technology at Comexi Group and was closely involved in the development of the Gelflex EB flexo ink technology for packaging applications.

Schellekens, on his return to Eerbeek at DG press, said: ‘I have always been in touch with the people from the service team at DG press. I followed the developments at the company and looked with admiration at the success of the new development of the Thallo printing press. That is absolutely a VSOP 2.0.

'DG press offers a lot of hybrid printing technology to the market, and they are absolutely unprecedented in their service orientation and customer satisfaction. I am happy to work collaboratively to further strengthen the commercial activities of DG press. With a great team of colleagues, we are working on new concepts and addressing new opportunities in these challenging times. With these exciting developments at DG press for our markets, we will focus more than ever on the interests of our customers.’
