UK digital printer CS Labels has published a ‘no nonsense’ guide to e-liquid (vape) label regulation.
The e-liquid business is going through many changes and massive growth in today’s market. It is estimated that 40,000 people are taking up vaping worldwide daily*.
Once classed under the medical legislation and Tobacco Products Directive (TPD), but since September 2016 the e-liquid industry finds itself under the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) and the chemical industry (CLP).
The white paper clearly explains the TPD label requirements as well as the CLP guidelines.
CS Labels technical sales director, Andrew Mansfield said: ‘Shockingly we ourselves have discovered that over 90 percent of all vape e-liquid labels we see through our door haven’t got their labeling correct. We have taken the steps to try to educate the market, and have launched a very simple white paper on label and packaging regulations for e-liquids.’
