IADD Lake Michigan Chapter announces Gasket, Film & Label Xchange

The IADD Xchange program for die-cutters and die-makers will take place in May in Palatine, Illinois, USA.

The International Association of Diecutting and Diemaking (IADD) Lake Michigan Chapter will host a Gasket, Film & Label Xchange on May 14-15, 2024 at the Wojcik Conference Center at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois, USA.

The IADD Xchange program was designed with die-cutters and die-makers in mind and provides focused technical information for a specific sector of the industry. The two-day event offers a table top trade fair; educational programs targeted to those who convert or make tooling for gaskets, films and labels; and a reception followed by dinner.

The event will offer tips and tricks for challenging substrates. Expert line-up will cover topics from ejecting components, heat sealing, considerations for electric vehicle fuel cells and batteries, troubleshooting substrates and critical set-up methods for gaskets and pressure sensitive labels.

IADD Lake Michigan Chapter chair, James Banister, Bobst North America, said: ‘When I heard from multiple members in the chapter that gasket information was of interest, we got to work! We have organized two days of technical programming to help address the common challenges you face when cutting difficult substrates. You will have access to experts, and we challenge you to bring them your most difficult questions. This will be an event to remember!’

Attendees will get the answers they need to their toughest questions during the Q&A: Ask the Experts panel discussion. Experts can provide advice to help improve the efficiency of converters.
