Finat Printer-to-Printer Seminar 2026

Seminar designed to encourage open discussion, peer learning and the exchange of real-world experiences.

Finat has confirmed that it will organize Printer-to-Printer (P2P) Seminar 2026, taking place in Milan from 4-6 November.

Positioned as a practical, highly interactive experience rather than a traditional conference, the seminar is designed to encourage open discussion, peer learning and the exchange of real-world experiences among label converters, suppliers and industry experts.

The European label industry is facing no shortage of challenges and opportunities, from sustainability and automation to workforce development, brand expectations and operational excellence. The question is not whether change is happening, but how label companies can learn from one another to respond successfully.

Built around the theme ‘Printing Excellence - Building the Next Generation of Label Printers’, the program combines presentations with audience participation, panel discussions, live voting, round-table discussions and networking opportunities. The objective is simple: move beyond theory and create meaningful conversations that help businesses improve performance and prepare for the future.

One of the program highlights is a converter-led panel discussion asking a deceptively simple question: ‘What does excellence mean to you?’

Featuring label converters All4Labels, Lappi Group, Marzek Etiketten, Tikedo, and Aztec Label, the session will explore how businesses define and measure excellence in a rapidly changing marketplace. Is excellence primarily about operational efficiency? Customer service? Innovation? Sustainability? Employee development? Or the ability to adapt and stay resilient in uncertain times?

Rather than presenting a single answer, the panel will encourage delegates to compare approaches, challenge assumptions and learn directly from their peers. This exchange of best practice lies at the heart of the Printer-to-Printer Seminar concept and reflects Finat's commitment to creating opportunities for honest, practical industry dialogue.

For label converters, the discussion offers valuable benchmarking opportunities and real-life examples from fellow business leaders. For suppliers, it provides direct insight into the priorities, challenges and decision-making processes of their customers.

Another major highlight of the program is the end-user panel, which brings the perspective of brand owners directly to the P2P audience.

Finat members consistently express the desire to hear more from the companies that ultimately specify, select and influence packaging solutions. The end-user session addresses that demand by creating a platform for dialogue between converters, suppliers and brand representatives.

Among the contributors is Stefan Casey, founder of Lightning Tree and a recognized leader in packaging, branding and design. Throughout his career, Casey has worked with some of the world's most recognized brands across the FMCG, luxury, beauty and beverage sectors, including Nestlé, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Campari, Jameson, Estée Lauder, Twinings, Boots, Levi's and BAT.

His experience spans packaging innovation, sustainability transformation, fiber-based packaging and the emerging role of AI in package design and brand development. Bringing this perspective into a P2P environment creates a rare opportunity for delegates to better understand how brand owners view packaging challenges, what they expect from supply-chain partners and how collaboration can deliver greater value.

For both converters and suppliers, understanding the priorities of brand owners is increasingly important as sustainability requirements, regulatory developments and consumer expectations continue to evolve.

What makes the Printer-to-Printer Seminar unique is that it is not exclusively for converters or suppliers. Instead, it creates an environment where the entire label value chain can learn together.

Converters gain exposure to new ideas, technologies and business approaches while benchmarking themselves against industry peers. Suppliers gain deeper insight into converter needs and future market requirements. Both groups benefit from direct interaction with brands, technology experts and industry thought leaders.

The result is a seminar designed not simply to deliver information, but to stimulate discussion, challenge thinking and encourage collaboration across the industry. This aligns closely with the event's campaign message ‘Presentations start the conversation. You help take it further.’

As the European label industry continues to navigate change, the Finat Printer-to-Printer Seminar aims to provide something increasingly valuable: a forum where people can learn from each other's successes, discuss common challenges and explore together what excellence will look like for the next generation of label printers.
