FTA adds digital awards category
New digital and multiprocess entries are now open for the 2027 program at a flat USD 95 member fee.
McDowell Label earned multiple honors in previous editions of FTA Awards
The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association has opened entries for its 2027 awards program, introducing a dedicated Digital category to the Excellence in Flexography Awards for the first time, alongside a new multiprocess pilot recognizing packaging produced using flexography in combination with another printing process.
The Digital category will use judging criteria developed specifically for digital print applications while maintaining the evaluation standards of the existing Excellence in Flexography Awards. The multiprocess pilot expands on the traditional program, which requires at least 90 percent of a submitted piece to be produced using flexography, by evaluating the quality of both flexography and the complementary process and how effectively they work together in the finished package.
Entries are also open for the Technical Innovation Award and Sustainability Excellence Award. FTA has introduced a flat entry fee of 95 USD for all award categories for members, simplifying participation across multiple programs.
Award recipients will be recognized at the FTA Awards Banquet at 2027 Forum Infoflex. Complete program details, eligibility requirements and submission information are available at flexography.org/honors-awards.
'By introducing new opportunities that recognize digital printing and multiprocess production, we are ensuring the program reflects how packaging is produced today while continuing to celebrate the highest levels of quality, innovation and craftsmanship,' said Nathan Ridnouer, president of the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association.
