Gallus returns to Loupe India

Screeny rotary screen unit makes its Indian debut at the show.

Gallus and Heidelberg return to Loupe India in 2026, with regional technology debuts including the Gallus Screeny Printing Unit.

Gallus Group and parent company Heidelberg have announced they will exhibit at Loupe India 2026 at Booth K14, their first appearance since 2012, with the Gallus Screeny Printing Unit making its regional debut.

The Screeny, introduced in 2025, adds rotary screen printing to narrow web production on presses from any manufacturer. It is a compact, independent module that can be integrated into different working environments, runs at mechanical speeds of up to 120 meters per minute and lets converters add high-opacity colors and fine detail to labels. Its cross-brand integration supports retrofit strategies and helps protect existing investments. The show runs from October 29 to November 1, 2026, at the India Expo Center & Mart in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR.

Heidelberg and Gallus say India’s packaging market is forecast to grow from around 12 billion USD to 20 billion USD by 2030, with strong growth in pharmaceutical, food, beverage and e-commerce applications. They add that Loupe India’s broader remit, which now takes in mid-web flexible packaging, shrink sleeves, pouches, in-line carton converting and smart labels, matches the range of applications Gallus covers, from security and pressure-sensitive labels to tube laminates, in-mold labels, pouches, wraps, sachets and light carton packaging.

‘India is one of the world’s most dynamic markets and, for Heidelberg and Gallus, one of significant strategic importance. Our return to Loupe India with Gallus gives us an important opportunity to meet converters face-to-face, understand their priorities and demonstrate how Gallus and Heidelberg’s role as a system integrator for packaging and label can create measurable value across the entire production workflow. Increasingly, converters need more than equipment; they need support integrating technologies, consumables, software, service and application expertise into an efficient production environment that can evolve alongside the business,’ said Samir Patkar, president of Heidelberg India.

Dr David Schmedding, CSO at Heidelberg, said the company is strengthening its local sales and service capabilities, investing in demonstration facilities and expanding its partner network in India. ‘India is becoming an increasingly important growth market for Heidelberg and the exhibition presence reflects Heidelberg’s wider commitment to supporting customers across India,’ he added.

‘Converters in India are balancing significant growth opportunities with strong cost discipline. They need technologies that deliver efficient, reliable production and a clear return on investment. Our presence at LOUPE India is a clear expression of our long-term commitment to this market and gives us an important opportunity to demonstrate how Gallus and Heidelberg can help customers simplify production, control costs and build the capabilities they need to grow,’ noted Uwe Boerner, CSO at Gallus Group.
