Vollherbst opens label hub in South Africa
German label printer establishes Stellenbosch brand development center for the African market.
Vollherbst, a premium label printer headquartered in Germany, has opened its first African brand development center in Stellenbosch, South Africa, named the Cube, establishing a dedicated space for label development, material evaluation and brand collaboration for wine, spirits, fine food and cosmetics producers in the Cape Winelands and broader African market.
Located at Bosman's Crossing in Stellenbosch, the Cube combines Vollherbst's more than a century of European printing expertise with a local environment for prototyping, real-time collaboration and market testing. The facility offers a creative space for working with international materials and finishes, consumer and market insight capabilities and a local setup for prototyping and production.
Vollherbst has worked with South African wine, sparkling wine and spirits producers since 2004 and also serves international clients in tobacco, fine food and cosmetics. The opening of the Cube marks the company's first dedicated local presence in Africa following more than two decades of collaboration in the market.
'With the Cube, we are creating a space where packaging becomes a conscious, strategic decision,' said Matthias Vollherbst, fourth-generation owner of Vollherbst. 'Packaging is a lever for brand value. The CUBE is designed to turn that into informed decisions and tangible results.'
The Cube will host workshops, curated sessions and industry collaborations in the months ahead, focused on turning packaging into a driver of measurable brand value.
