Provident launches recycled rubber end seal
New flexo consumable diverts waste from landfill with 30 percent recycled content.
Provident has launched a new end seal for flexographic printing that incorporates 30 percent recycled rubber, sourced from grinding substandard seals and recycled tires, diverting waste from landfill while maintaining the performance characteristics of conventional end seals.
The seal features a felt top design and is compatible with all major press brands, including Windmoeller and Hoelscher, Uteco, PCMC and SOMA. It works with all ink types, including water-based, UV, LED-UV and solvent-based inks, and comes pre-lubricated with a food-grade lubricant meeting food packaging standards.
Key performance benefits include clean, sharp seal edges for precise application, consistent ink containment, reduced leakage and waste, extended doctor blade life and fewer press impressions per run.
'By transforming discarded materials into a product that offers superior ink containment and fewer press impressions, we're not just launching a new product; we're inviting our customers to experience the future of our sustainable initiatives, without sacrificing high-performance printing,' said Tim Allen, director of sales at Provident.
