Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has encouraged employees to participate in Cancer Research UK's 'Walk 30 Miles in November' challenge.

From November 1 to 30, team members across the UK committed to walking 30 miles – one mile per day – to raise funds for cancer research. The challenge was open to all employees, whether walking solo, with colleagues or as part of a team, and could be completed anywhere, including local parks, neighborhoods or while traveling.

'We're incredibly proud to support Cancer Research UK in their mission to beat cancer,' commented Gillian Nuttall, ESG partner at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK). 'This initiative reflects our commitment to wellbeing and gives our employees a meaningful way to make a difference – literally one step at a time.'

Employees were encouraged to share their progress via social media and fundraising platforms. They also received training resources, including training guides, challenge calendars and Strava integration to help participants stay motivated and track their journey.

Cancer Research UK estimates that nearly one in two people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Every mile walked and every pound raised contributes to research and support services. For example, 70 GBP could fund a clinical research grant for one day, 130 GBP could support a cancer nurse for a day, or 170 GBP could fund a trial testing new radiotherapy techniques for treating bile duct cancer.

'Initiatives like this also build on our commitment to improving health and wellbeing, not only for our team but also the other businesses and people we work with, along with the communities we live in,' Nuttall added.

Since launching its partnership with Cancer Research UK in May, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has raised 2,885 GBP of its annual target of 10,000 GBP.
