Label King Utah facility adds HP press

The Label King has installed an HP Indigo 6K+ at its Utah facility.

This 14,000sqft facility, located in Salt Lake City, opened last year. Adam Peek, known in the label and packaging industry as the host of the People of Packaging podcast, leads the Utah location, overseeing its sales, marketing, finance and production operations.

Peek said that the HP press's high degree of registration and material flexibility made it stand out. Additionally, the Utah label market is familiar with HP presses, with both press operators and customers accustomed to the technology.

In making this investment decision, the Label King evaluated multiple options for flexo, hybrid and digital presses over the course of about eight months. 

'Ultimately, HP was the partner who helped to derisk the decision for us and provided us with the best value to move forward,' Peek said.
