Titu Prints has purchased the new machine as part of its expansion into roll-label manufacturing and to strengthen its packaging capabilities.
The company, which has been in commercial printing and photo albums and related products for nearly four decades, is looking to labels as its next growth driver. Owner Mukesh Tanwani feels the best way to move forward is to diversify into labels, where client demand has been moving.
Tanwani stated that numerous client queries about sheet labeling prompted the decision. They cost extra, had to be applied by hand, and frequently left creases. Roll-form labels, on the other hand, can be applied by an applicator, providing products with a more consistent appearance.
Tanwani said: 'Customers desired labels that appeared real and uniform. This was the right time to move.'
The PRPC 330 was chosen as it integrates many processes into a single system. It supports white and CMYK printing, varnish, foil, and digital cutting. Tanwani added: 'With this machine, one operator can handle the entire workflow. It simplifies operations and cuts costs.'
Tanwani also shared that the cost of this machine is lower than that of some competitors, making it more financially feasible to enter the label market. Additionally, Titu Prints has worked with Packnology Graphics before, purchasing two digital cutting machines from it.
The installation is expected to provide immediate and long-term benefits. In the medium term, it enables Titu Prints to transition from sheet to roll production and meet existing orders more effectively. In the long run, it prepares the company to enter the rising packaging and labeling markets, even as traditional printing contracts and customer expectations evolve quickly.
'It's not simply about matching current demand, it is about preparing for the future,' explained Tanwani.
