Bluebird launches two RFID readers
The S10 handheld and FR901 fixed reader target retail, logistics and healthcare markets.
Bluebird, a TSC Auto ID company, has launched two new RFID readers, the S10 handheld and the FR901 fixed reader, targeting enterprise inventory and asset management across retail, logistics, healthcare and manufacturing.
The S10 is a UHF RFID handheld reader weighing 613.8g, built around an E710 RFID chip capable of reading more than 1,300 tags per second from over 13 meters away. Its ergonomic, anti-slip design is suited to all-day operation in warehousing, logistics, retail and manufacturing environments, as well as asset monitoring in healthcare and field service.
The FR901 is a fixed reader replacing Bluebird's FR900, featuring 103dBM sensitivity for reliable tag reading in challenging RF conditions, including densely stacked areas and high-speed conveyors. An eight-antenna port design allows a single unit to cover expansive areas, multiple dock doors or complex overhead and gate networks from a single reader.
'The FR901 is more than just a reader, it's effectively an infrastructure for industrial digital automation,' said Benoit Charnallet, product manager for EMEA at TSC Auto ID. 'With both the S10 and FR901, Bluebird has turned up the dial on performance, integration, usability and cost-efficiency for enterprise environments.'
