Lundberg Tech showcases matrix compactor at Loupe

Lundberg Tech will present its MatrixCompactor 160 label matrix handling system at Loupe Americas 2026 in Chicago, targeting label converters seeking to reduce operator manual handling while improving production efficiency and waste management.

The MatrixCompactor 160 captures and compacts matrix waste directly from production, reducing transport volume and CO2 impact while eliminating heavy lifting of matrix rolls and repetitive waste handling tasks for press operators. The system also minimizes unnecessary disposal of paper cores and supports consistent production flows by removing in-line matrix and edge trim.

Lundberg Tech said the system addresses the dual challenge facing label converters: remaining competitive while attracting and retaining skilled operators in a tight labor market, where workplace ergonomics and conditions have become factors in both productivity and employee satisfaction.
