OSP Holdings, part of OSP Group, has acquired all shares of US-based Global Venture as of March 31. The terms of this agreement are confidential.

Until now, Primark America, the US subsidiary of the OSP Group located in New York, has focused its sales efforts on Japanese food companies in the West Coast area as a key region for seal and label sales. However, due to geographical distance and the fact that manufacturing was either outsourced within the US or imported from Japan, delivery times and costs were high. In order to address the challenge of building a flexible and speedy supply system rooted in the local area, OSP acquired Global Venture, headquartered in Washington state.

Global Venture has a 35-year history as a seal and label manufacturer in Kent, Washington. It has built a solid business foundation based on reliable quality, price and service, and has cultivated a customer base primarily in the food sector, as well as in retail, distribution and aviation. It has a strong affinity with the OSP Group, which holds approximately 33 percent of the Japanese food sector seal and label market.

The OSP Group's vision is to be 'the most "sustainable" and "innovative" global packaging solutions group.' The company is committed to developing environmentally friendly products, products that contribute to solving customer challenges, environmentally conscious manufacturing processes, and automation through digital transformation. This acquisition aims to realize that vision by expanding its business model, which includes value creation and enhanced competitiveness in the domestic market, globally.

The demand for environmentally friendly products is also increasing in the massive US packaging market. In this market, the OSP Group has diverse printing technologies and supplies of functional adhesive papers, while Global Venture has a customer base and purchasing network with major food and retail companies.
