Agfa and ScenicSoft extend OEM agreement to Pandora

ScenicSoft and Agfa have announced today the strengthening of their partnership with the extension of the current OEM contract until December 2005. The agreement has also been expanded to include Pandora as the preferred step-and-repeat solution for Agfa workflows.
Pandora is a PDF-based packaging step-and-repeat solution and will be
added to the Agfa portfolio of products as the recommended solution for
the ApogeeX workflow for the packaging industry. Pandora supports
JDF, as well as PDF, PJTF, PCF, and CIP3.
Says Erik Smith, president of ScenicSoft, ‘This allows ScenicSoft and Agfa to continue to cooperate closely in the future on implementing systems based on open standards, such as JDF, PJTF, and PDF. In view of the pending acquisition of ScenicSoft by Creo, the extension of the Agfa agreement clearly indicates the commitment both companies share in offering solutions that incorporate leading products like Preps and Pandora, and that are based
on open standards such as JDF, PJTF, and PDF.’
