adphos launches drying analysis system

ThermoLab combines real-time mass and temperature data for ink, coating and substrate analysis.

adphos has launched the adphos ThermoLab, a laboratory measurement system combining synchronized real-time mass and temperature monitoring for the analysis of drying, heating and other thermal processes, targeting formulation development, quality control and process optimization for coatings, inks, adhesives, films and paper-based substrates.

The system records mass change in the microgram range and contactless temperature profiles at millisecond-level resolution during treatment with an adphos aNIR module, providing continuous data on when and at what temperature a material loses mass throughout the drying process.

The ThermoLab is available for testing at the adphos Application Center in Germany and through adphos North America in the US, and can be rented for internal test series or purchased for laboratory use.
