Domino launches Ux360i UV laser coder
New system delivers 80 percent faster QR code marking on mono-plastics and thin films.
Domino Printing Sciences has launched the Ux360i UV laser coder, a high-speed coding system designed for GS1-compliant 2D code marking on mono-plastics, thin films and other sustainable packaging materials without damaging barrier layers or packaging integrity.
The Ux360i uses a photochemical process that interacts only with the top layer of the substrate, enabling high-contrast codes on heat-sensitive materials at high line speeds. A new high-speed scan head and optimized coding algorithms deliver up to 80 percent faster QR code marking compared with Domino's previous-generation UV laser, while maintaining code quality and readability for traceability and serialization applications.
The system offers more than 50 standard beam delivery and orientation options, including a fully rotatable scan head, supporting installation in space-constrained or complex production environments. It integrates with ERP and MES systems via Domino Automation software and features a web-based interface aligned with Domino's x-generation platform. The Ux360i is designed to support EU GMP Annex 11 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements and is backed by GAMP 5-trained validation expertise.
As a consumable-free system, the Ux360i also supports customers' sustainability commitments through reduced running costs, maintenance and waste.
