Brigl & Bergmeister is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. The Brigl & Bergmeister plant is located at Niklasdorf in Styria, Austria and was founded in 1890. The Papirnica Vevče factory was founded in Slovenia, in the greater area of Ljubljana, in 1842, and has been a 100 percent subsidiary of Brigl & Bergmeister since 2004.

With effect from July 1, Mayer will be managing director of the technical division of both plants, while Michael Sablatnig will continue to be responsible for commercial matters.

Mayer has been working for Brigl & Bergmeister since 1985 and has held important management positions at the Niklasdorf plant, as well as at the Slovenian subsidiary, in recent years.

During his period as managing director of operations, Porkar – as owner of the Brigl & Bergmeister Group – has initiated important restructuring measures, as well as the Innovation One investment program.
