CS Labels appoints sales manager

CS Labels has appointed Mike Reynolds as its new sales manager, a role created to support Andrew Mansfield, the digital printer’s technical sales director, as it expands.

Mike Reynolds has over 25 years of experience in the labeling industry including particular expertise in the beverage market

Reynolds has over 25 years of experience in the labeling industry including particular expertise in the beverage market. He was formerly sales director at SA Labels, now part of Reflex Group. In his new role, he will manage a proportion of the internal sales staff as well as a portfolio of key accounts in the major retail and FMCG space.

‘I’m really pleased to be here and am very excited about the benefits that digital print can bring,’ commented Reynolds. ‘I’m from a flexographic background originally, so it is refreshing to come into a forward-thinking organization that has its finger on the pulse when it comes to digital. A stand-out moment for me was learning how we are able to turnaround orders in lightning speed compared to the flexo space.

‘Our pre-flight system is truly unbelievable. I’ve visited a client on a Monday, they have placed the order on the Tuesday, and they then receive it 5-8 days later. In the past the engagement could have taken years, and the delivery weeks, not days. Over all I am amazed at how much there is to learn about digital.  It’s completely different to flexo and I am delighted to be part of the team.’

CS Labels managing director Simon Smith said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Mike on board and recruited him due to his experience with industry and prior knowledge with the major retailers and brands. We are and we will continue to expand, innovate and deliver to the best of our ability. In order to do this successfully we need more like-minded best-of-breed team members.’

At Labelexpo Europe 2017, CS Labels became a beta site for the new Xeikon CX500, a wider web digital print press that will increase the printer’s capacity and offer larger sized applications. CX500 is claimed to be 50 percent more productive than the existing CX3 presses that CS Labels have in-situ.
