Jean-François Roche of Graphic Packaging International has been elected as the new president of folding carton industry association ECMA

ECMA, the European Carton Makers Association, held its annual general meeting on November 8, where Roche was elected to succeed Andreas Blaschke.

Blaschke formally stepped down at the meeting after six years in the role. Blaschke, a member of the board of Mayr-Melnhof Group and responsible for Mayr-Melnhof Packaging, is the only president to have served a six-year period in ECMA’s history.

Roche is vice president of sales in Europe at Graphic Packaging International. He has been involved with ECMA for many years, chairing the marketing and communications committee and as a member of the executive committee.
