Kama strengthens sales efforts in Asia

German-based packaging machinery manufacturer Kama is expanding its sales activities in the Asia-Pacific region with the appointment of Job van Hasselt as its new area manager for Southeast Asia, the Pacific and Japan.

van Hasselt brings 30 years of experience in the printing business to his new role at Kama

van Hasselt brings 30 years of experience in the printing business to the role, in particular in Asian markets, as he filled senior management positions with Bobst and manroland. As of now, Dutch-born van Hasselt, who is based in Malaysia, will support Kama’s distribution partners, P.M. Trading in Korea, Heidelberg Japan K.K., Sinar Grafindo in Indonesia and Ferrostaal in Thailand.

‘The Asian markets show highly dynamic development, and embellishing, such as hot foil stamping and holograms, is very much in demand,’ says van Hasselt. ‘Having this in mind, Kama’s modular solutions offer great flexibility and excellent opportunities for adding more value in post-press processing and finishing. This is the decisive “step ahead of the competition”.

‘The potential is still not known enough in the region.’

Kama will present its technologies, such as ProCut die-cutting and stamping machines, and ProFold folder gluers, at Dscoop Asia in Singapore on November 17 and 18.
