KBA appointment supports strengthening focus in growing packaging market

Within the framework of measures to further strengthen its focus on the growing packaging market, KBA has named Christoph Müller as the new managing director of Italian subsidiary KBA-Flexotecnica, the group's flexible packaging specialist with offices in Tavazzano near Milan.

Christoph Müller, managing director of KBA-Digital & Web Solutions, based at the KBA headquarters in Würzburg, Germany, has taken on additional responsibility as managing director for KBA-Flexotecnica

Müller, managing director of KBA-Digital & Web Solutions, based at the KBA headquarters in Würzburg, Germany, has taken on additional responsibility as managing director for KBA-Flexotecnica with effect from January 4. Claudio Bisogni, who led the company before and after the acquisition by KBA in December 2013, left the company at the end of 2016 to continue pursuit of his personal career roadmap.

The management change at KBA-Flexotecnica is expected to intensify cooperation between the locations and will simplify access to technical and human resources at the main production facility in Würzburg. In the coming year, KBA plans to open a demonstration center at its Würzburg site for the presentation of the flexo web presses from Tavazzano and other product lines.

As demand continues to increase, the allocation of additional facilities for assembly of the CI flexo presses designed in Italy is a further option.
