Stevens has experience in international business-to-business markets, including the label printing industry. His former professional roles include direct sales, as well as managing international sales channels.

From 2010 to 2013 he worked as area sales manager at Stork Prints, selling digital systems, rotary screen systems and services to the label and packaging industries in major European and Asian markets.

Over the last two years, he was commercially responsible for the EMEA operations at a company that produces and sells vacuum packaging machines.

At MPS, Stevens will be commercially responsible for the markets in Poland, Turkey, parts of southern Europe and the Middle East.

He will be officially introduced to the market at next week’s Gulf Print & Pack 2015 in Dubai on the stand of MPS’s new regional agent Anoop Plastic Products Trading Establishments.

Stevens joined the MPS team in February.

Wim van den Bosch, MPS chief executive officer, said: ‘It is MPS’s goal to help customers becoming even more successful in their markets, and the appointment of Matthijs is another important step for MPS to be able to provide worldwide advice and support to our customers.’

‘I hope to contribute to our growth in the near future by listening carefully to what the market needs, and helping our agents and distributors to supply the right answers,’ Stevens added.
