Prolamina CEO to take up same role after merger with Ampac

Prolamina CEO Greg Tucker is to take up the same role within the new company created by the merger of his existing employer and Ampac.

Wellspring Capital Management, a New York-based private equity firm, has acquired Ampac and is to merge it with existing portfolio business Prolamina to create a flexible packaging company with a strategic geographical footprint and enhanced product offering that is ‘unparalleled in the industry’.

Tucker has served as Prolamina CEO since 2012 having previously worked with BE Aerospace, TSI Group, Thermo Electron and Praxair in a variety of senior management positions.

John E. Morningstar, a managing partner of Wellspring Capital Management, will lead the merged firm's activities in the packaging sector.
