Dscoop has opened registration for Edge Charlotte 2027, taking place February 28-March 3 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
With a playful nod to classic video games, the conference's 'Level Up' theme celebrates progress, new challenges and the excitement of what comes next. But the idea goes deeper than its retro-inspired look: No one levels up alone. At Edge Charlotte, the people who can help you overcome your next business challenge might be sitting beside you in a session, sharing a meal or swapping ideas in the Solutions Showcase.
The event itself is leveling up, too. Building on enthusiastic feedback from past attendees, Dscoop is creating an Edge experience centered on what members value most: connections, \conversations, education and sharing ideas. It's reflective of the global Dscoop community, where business leaders openly discuss their successes, challenges and lessons learned, knowing that everyone benefits from the exchange.
'There's something special about the energy when Dscoopers get together, and we're excited to build on that in Charlotte,' said Sara Hawley, director of integrated operations at Gooten and Edge Charlotte conference committee chair. 'We're working to create an experience where people feel involved from the moment they arrive, where conversations happen naturally and where everyone has something valuable to contribute. We want everyone to leave feeling energized and ready for what's next.'
At the heart of Edge Charlotte will be an education program designed to make learning as direct, relevant and collaborative as possible. Dscoop members will share strategies they've tested, problems they've solved and lessons they've learned inside their own businesses. They'll be joined by leading experts offering fresh perspectives on business strategy, sales and marketing, operations and workplace dynamics.
Sessions will explore emerging technologies and market opportunities, automation and production efficiency, leadership and talent development, and ways to win higher-value work. Whether attendees want to streamline workflows, strengthen company culture, explore new markets or rethink their approach to sales, they'll find practical ideas and people willing to help them put those ideas to work.
Just as important, Edge Charlotte will create more opportunities for meaningful conversations among people facing similar challenges. A production leader might compare notes with someone who's already automated a difficult workflow. A sales executive might connect with a peer who's successfully entered a new market. A business owner might discover a fresh approach to hiring, pricing or growth over an informal conversation.
Meanwhile, the Solutions Showcase will build on that spirit of discovery and collaboration, with more hands-on demonstrations, dynamic projects and opportunities to explore technology in action. Dscoop year-round partners will share strategies designed to help print businesses grow, including collaborative projects that bring together complementary expertise from multiple partners.
HP experts and technology will play an important role, connecting attendees with innovations and insights across the HP Industrial Print ecosystem.
Edge Charlotte will welcome members from across the US and around the world, including business owners, executives, sales and marketing professionals, production leaders, technical experts and others shaping the future of digital print.
Newcomers are an important part of that mix. Approximately one in three attendees last year at the Edge Rockies and Edge Slovenia conferences were experiencing an Edge event for the first time. Edge Charlotte will build on that momentum with an inclusive, welcoming environment designed to help first-timers quickly become active participants in the community.
'Dscoop is built on people who genuinely want to see one another succeed,' said Matt Doran, Dscoop global chair. 'The business value is tremendous. You can learn something from a peer that saves you months of trial and error, discover a new opportunity or build a partnership that changes the direction of your company. That's what makes this community so rewarding, year after year.'
Dscoop's growing worldwide network connects members throughout the year through local and regional gatherings, online discussions, educational programming and direct peer-to-peer exchanges.
For Dscoop executive director Peter van Teeseling, the goal in Charlotte is to take that foundation and make the in-person experience even more valuable. 'We've listened carefully to what members tell us about Edge, and the message is consistent: They love the openness, the connections and the opportunity to learn directly from one another,' he said. 'Our goal is to amplify those qualities in Charlotte, and to provide an unforgettable experience for everyone who makes our growing community so special.'
For Dscoop members traveling to Charlotte from outside the US, Edge will offer another valuable opportunity: exclusive site visits to three print operations in the Charlotte area. International attendees can go behind the scenes at Shutterfly, Salem One and The Imagine Group, gaining firsthand insights into diverse production technologies, personalization at scale, integrated workflows and creative approaches to serving customers. These visits are available only to international attendees, with special pricing and limited availability. Members are encouraged to begin planning their travel and any necessary visa arrangements early.
Dscoop's year-round partners play an essential role in helping members grow, contributing expertise, education and fresh ideas throughout the year. At Edge Charlotte, that spirit of collaboration will be on full display. Edge invites partners to become active participants in the experience, joining educational sessions, exchanging ideas with print leaders, building relationships and exploring opportunities to solve business challenges together.
