Sigmon joins Phoenix Challenge board

Former competitor returns as foundation's first alumni director.

The Phoenix Challenge Foundation has appointed Josh Sigmon to its board of directors, marking the first time a competition alumni has joined the organization's leadership since its inception 28 years ago.

Sigmon first competed in the College Phoenix Challenge while earning his AAS in Graphic Arts & Imaging Technology/Flexography at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina. He participated again at the University of Central Missouri, where he graduated with a BS in Graphic Technologies and met his wife, Liz Sigmon, who was also part of the competition team.

His career began at Harper Corporation of America, followed by ALC in Kansas City, Missouri, before returning to Harper Corporation, where he advanced to vice president of sales. Sigmon has recently joined Wink US as business development lead, where he focuses on growth initiatives for the manufacturer of high-precision flexible dies and rotary cylinders.

Since 2019, Sigmon has served as a judge for both the Phoenix Challenge High School Skills and College Competitions, demonstrating his continued commitment to the foundation's mission to build tomorrow's workforce.

'Josh's passion for the competition and dedication to its mission will be an invaluable asset to the Phoenix Challenge Foundation for years to come,' the foundation stated.
