Xordex Ventures wins AIPIA Brand Challenge

Smart packaging competition targets Cranswick's self-verifying pack vision.

Xordex Ventures has won the AIPIA Brand Challenge 2026, held during the AIPIA and AWA Smart Packaging World Congress in Amsterdam on May 21, with Luchrome in second place and Lasso Loop Recycling in third.

The challenge was set by Cranswick, a leading UK food producer, which presented its Perfect Pack vision: packaging capable of monitoring product condition, enhancing food safety and shelf life, improving traceability and authenticity, supporting sustainability and regulatory compliance, and connecting digitally across the supply chain and with consumers.

Selected participants pitched live technologies to the Cranswick evaluation team, including Clive Stephens, head of research and development at Cranswick, with technologies spanning smart sensing, digital traceability, anti-counterfeiting and recyclable smart packaging. Winners were judged on innovation, feasibility and real-world impact.
