Great Lakes Label listed as Best Place to Work

Great Lakes Label has been ranked No. 24 on Crain's 2026 Best Places to Work in Michigan. The ranking was revealed at a celebration hosted by Crain's Grand Rapids Business on Aug. 13 at Silva in Grand Rapids.

The Best Places to Work in Michigan program is a joint recognition of Crain's Detroit Business and Crain's
Grand Rapids Business, conducted in partnership with the independent research firm Best Companies Group. Honorees are selected through a two-part evaluation that reviews each company's practices, programs and benefits and, most significantly, weighs a confidential survey of its own employees, making the recognition a direct reflection of how the people of Great Lakes Label experience working there.

'This award belongs to our team,' said Tony Cook, founder and CEO of Great Lakes Label. 'We started in 1994 with a card table in a closet, and everything we've built since has come from people who take pride in their craft and take care of one another. Being named a Best Place to Work – by the very employees who make this company what it is – is the recognition that means the most to us.'

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Comstock Park, Michigan, Great Lakes Label has grown from a one-person startup into a manufacturer of more than 70 employees. The company runs Mark Andy P5 and P7 Performance Series flexographic presses with UV curing, alongside booklet and shrink-film capabilities, and operates as a GMI-certified print facility with a lean, sustainability-minded approach to production. Its labels reach some of the most recognized brands in North America, with several customer relationships spanning more than a decade.

Great Lakes Label plans to display the Crain's Best Places to Work 2026 recognition across its customer and industry communications throughout the coming year.
