- Renovation to start immediately, DGpS to move in Jan 2013

DG press ServiceS (DGpS) is now the official owner of the former Drent Goebel premises in Hall, the Netherlands.

The transfer of ownership will take place on June 11, after which drastic renovation will take place immediately.

The premises comprise 7,000 sq m, of which 5,500 sq m of production and office space will facilitate DGpS growth. Although the company ‘s main focus will remain on service and customer support, DGpS said its capability to build new presses such as the newly developed Vision SP [offset press] will be increased with the extended factory.

DGpS plans to move on January 1, 2013.

DGpS started in 2009 as an initiative of two former employees of Drent Goebel as a service provider for the installed Drent and Drent Goebel machine base.

Peter Kloppers, DGpS director, said: ‘Without the necessity of selling and producing an amount of printing presses we could further focus on delivering service solutions, developing the existing presses and offer innovative upgrades, modifications and extensions.

‘We started with 12 ex-Drent Goebel employees. Now we employ almost 30 Drent specialists.’
