Dantex launches first digital press
Dantex launched the PicoColour II UV inkjet digital label press at Labelexpo. The press is based on the original PicoColor press developed by JF Machines, now a part of the Dantex Group and the R&D center for digital press development.
The PicoColour Mk II digital press uses five Xaar inkjet heads to print W+CMYK on a 210mm or 140mm width and prints at 35m/min using inks developed by the Dantex team. The press integrates a corona treater and an in-line die-cut and matrix stripping station. A machine with this configuration was sold to Limpet Labels at the show. The workflow is provided by MaxPrint and integrates a Harlequin RIP.
