Kartongbolaget buys first HP Indigo 30000 in Scandinavia
Sweden’s Kartongbolaget i Hälsingborg is to install the first HP Indigo 30000 digital press in Scandinavia.

The company, a supplier of folding cartons based in Sweden, is making its first move into digital printing with the investment, which will transform its business with increased flexibility and new opportunities for product innovation, according to HP Indigo. The press will also provide Kartongbolaget with a competitive edge and allow it to branch out into new business areas. The digital press features a number of advanced facilities unique to HP Indigo products, such as VDP authoring tool HP SmartStream Designer, which enables the creation of sophisticated individualized jobs including HP SmartStream Mosaic’s one-of-a-kind variable designs, and Enhanced Productivity Mode, which facilitates production speeds of up to 4,600 full color sheets per hour.
‘As not only our first digital press, but the first HP Indigo 30000 in Scandinavia, the purchase marks a real milestone for our company,’ commented Peter Hauggaard, responsible for sales and marketing at Kartongbolaget. ‘The new digital press will enable us to provide amazing new options that previously wouldn’t have been possible for us.
‘The shift towards shorter print runs and greater customisation has been one that the market has anticipated and eagerly awaited for quite some time, and we are truly excited to share our new digital capabilities with new and existing customers.’
The deal for the press was signed at Labelexpo Europe 2015, with installation currently underway.
‘We are extremely excited to be heading into 2016 equipped with a host of entirely new capabilities,’ added Hauggaard. ‘We are looking forward to putting the press into action and exploring new applications with HP’s advanced, cutting-edge technology behind us. With its continued training and support, HP Indigo has ensured that our company is not only equipped with market-leading technology, but also with the skills and expertise to become digital printing specialists and really get the most out of our new press. This confidence in our technology, and our people, will allow us to focus on delivering the outstanding quality and service that our customers expect.’
The first HP Indigo 30000 sheet-fed digital press in Benelux has been installed at Digilinck, in Deinze, Belgium, while Südpack Verpackungen has recently invested in an HP Indigo 20000.
