Printma cuts costs with Durst

Polish label printer reports 60 percent production cost reduction.

Printma, a digital label printer based in Lublin, Poland, has reported a 60 percent reduction in production costs and a fourfold increase in output since installing a Durst Tau 340 RSCE in June 2025.

'I calculated it on real jobs. 60 percent cheaper,' said Patrycjusz Mamczarz, owner of Printma. 'And since June, we've printed four times more than we did over five years on the previous machine.'

Founded in 2021, Printma had been operating with UV digital equipment before growing client demand for complex jobs, short runs and fast turnaround times prompted Mamczarz to invest in a new press. After comparing several brands and visiting Durst's headquarters in Brixen, Italy, he selected the Tau 340 RSCE.

The printer noted that turnaround speed has improved significantly, with Printma now delivering labels within one to two days on jobs that competitors quote at 15 days. The company currently runs the press eight hours a day from a new production facility, handling transparent, white and metallized label work with what Mamczarz described as full color consistency and repeatability.

Mamczarz credited LFP Industrial Solutions, Durst's Polish distributor, for a smooth implementation process, highlighting the support of Grzegorz Zielinski, director of the label and flexible packaging department, and Adam Jablonowski, software product manager.

'The most important thing is that I simply sleep well now,' Mamczarz added. 'Production is stable, predictable and safe.'

The five-person operation is now planning further equipment investments as it continues to grow its client base, primarily through referrals.
