Probeco expands digital capacity

Danish manufacturer adds second HP Indigo 6K+ and ABG finishing equipment.

Danish converter Probeco has invested in a second HP Indigo 6K+ digital label press and two additional pieces of ABG finishing equipment, all supplied by Visutech, to meet strong customer demand, with the press scheduled for installation in early October.

With the new press, Probeco will operate three HP Indigo digital presses, increasing both capacity and production flexibility. The 6K+ will be its second press of this model and will operate alongside the existing HP Indigo presses. The decision to invest again in HP Indigo and ABG is based on proven technology, established workflows and long-standing partnerships, allowing the company to add capacity while maintaining the quality, consistency and reliability its customers expect.

'We are seeing strong demand from our customers, so increasing our capacity is a natural next step for us. At the same time, we are not prepared to compromise on print quality. In our experience, HP Indigo delivers the highest digital print quality on the market, and that has been a decisive factor in our choice of technology. Combined with a platform we know and trust, and the strong partnership we have with Visutech, HP Indigo and ABG, investing again in the same proven technology was a natural decision,' said Kim Berg, CEO of Probeco.

The ABG equipment supports the increased print capacity. The expanded finishing setup will create an efficient production flow from printing through converting and allow Probeco to scale production across both printing and finishing.

'The fact that Probeco is investing again so soon is a strong confirmation of both the demand they are experiencing and their confidence in the technology. They have built their production around proven solutions from HP Indigo and ABG, and when additional capacity is needed, they can expand on a platform they already know and trust. We are very proud to continue supporting Probeco as they take this next step,' added Max Liljegren, sales executive, labels & packaging Nordics at Visutech.
