The seminar will be held on the premises of the university where theoretical basics, practical demonstrations and exercises in cylinder engraving and gravure printing will be taught.

The introduction ranges from electroplating of rotogravure cylinders, surface finishing, layout and electromechanical engraving of the gravure printing forme, to printing on various papers with different inks.

The seminar is primarily for employees from the gravure printing industry, cylinder manufacturers and repro houses, as well as paper, substrate and ink manufacturers, as well as those looking to move into the industry.

The whole workflow will be experienced on machines in the gravure cylinder preparation laboratory and on gravure presses. A cylinder, which together with the participants will be prepared for engraving, will be engraved with a layout made during the seminar, followed by printing and quality control.
