Chemosovit acquires second Soma Venus II

Soma Engineering has sold a second Venus II slitter rewinder to Chemosvit Folie, one of the largest flexible packaging companies in the Slovak Republic. The new 1350mm machine will be used to meet increased capacity at the company’s manufacturing operation in Svit. 

‘The first Venus ll was supplied in 2006 and was won by tender in the face of stiff German competition,’ said brand manager, Pavla Kusa. ‘The machine joined a stable of similar slitter rewinders supplied by our competitors so we were delighted to have won the order. When the time came to re-invest we were invited to tender again and won on the basis of customer satisfaction with the efficiency and reliability of the first machine, plus the unique price to quality ratio of the equipment.’

Established in 1934 Chemosvit Folie is ISO certified to international standards. The company prints and converts a wide range of products including single and double layer films, shrink films, bags, pouches and laminates that are easily and efficiently handled by the Venus II.
