Grafix develops rotary IML finishing system

Converting machinery specialist Grafix Equipment has unveiled a rotary die-cut and capture system dedicated to in-mold label (IML) converting.

The Grafix Cut and Capture system features rotary diecutting of any IML label material and the ability to control the label and capture it directly from the rotary tool. The product is then stacked into ‘bricks’ of pre-determined quantities.

The system eliminates the need for multiple pieces of machinery and process steps, and allows for the fast and efficient die cutting, stacking, and packaging of IML labels normally done through a sheet to brick workflow.

Grafix IML Cut and Capture is available in both a fully turnkey configuration – as an in-line unit from printing press to final packaging – or as an off-line unit with re-register to die-cut to brick.
