ABG demonstrates FlexPack workflow
Thermal lamination, pouch making and digital embellishment run together for the first time.
ABG has demonstrated its complete FlexPack workflow for the first time, bringing together ThermoLam thermal lamination, the Galaxy Packtech pouch-making platform and PouchJet digital embellishment technology in a single connected production environment.
The demonstration marked the first time all three pillars of ABG's flexible packaging offering had been shown operating together, with digital embellishment running in-line with pouch making attracting particular interest from converters seeking greater flexibility, efficiency and product differentiation. The integrated workflow supports shorter runs, increased product variation and improved production efficiency.
The partnership with Galaxy Packtech underpins the FlexPack platform, combining ABG's finishing and embellishment expertise with Galaxy's pouch-making technology to deliver an end-to-end flexible packaging workflow from a single combined offering.
'Being able to showcase the complete workflow for the first time, from thermal lamination through to pouch making and in-line embellishment alongside Galaxy Packtech, was particularly exciting for us,' said Matt Burton, global sales director at ABG. 'We see this as an important step in expanding our capabilities and helping customers access flexible packaging solutions that deliver both efficiency and differentiation.'
ABG will demonstrate its FlexPack technologies at Loupe Americas 2026 in Chicago later in the year.
